3. Solution Architecture

The solution was architected around the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem at its core, providing a tightly integrated, software-defined network environment. Supporting systems for surveillance and audio were layered on top of this foundation.

3.1 Gateway & Routing — UniFi Gateway Ultra

3.2 Core Switching — TP-Link Gigabit PoE++ Switch

A TP-Link Gigabit PoE++ managed switch was deployed as the core distribution layer, providing the backbone for both data and power delivery across the office.

• Gigabit Ethernet on all ports ensures maximum bandwidth availability to every connected device and workstation.
• PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) capability delivers sufficient power to PoE access points, IP cameras, and other powered devices without requiring separate power adapters.

All workstations were provisioned with dedicated Gigabit Ethernet outlet drops, ensuring that every desktop has a direct, high-bandwidth wired connection to the core switch.

• Cat6 structured cabling run to all workstation positions, terminated at wall-mounted data outlets.
